Alison Adler Matz was named publisher of Brides magazine in May 2008.  Brides, the leading bridal publication in the country, has been published since 1934. 

Prior to joining Brides, Ms. Matz was associate publisher at Glamour.  Before Glamour, Matz served as associate publisher at Teen Vogue and before that she held the same position at House & Garden.  During her tenure at Teen Vogue, the magazine was recognized as Adweek's "Startup of the Year" for 2004; was named to Adweek's "Hot List" in the 10 Under 50 category for 2005; and was on Ad Age's "A List" for 2006. The magazine was selected for Adweek's "Hot List" in 2006 and 2007.

Ms. Matz began her career at Condé Nast in 1988 at Self, where she held various sales positions.  After leaving Self in 1993, she held several senior positions at other magazines, including advertising director at both Mirabella and Country Home, as well as associate publisher at US Weekly

Alison received a B.S. degree from Syracuse University.  She lives in Westchester with her husband and two children.
